Compassion’s education program bothers on literacy interventions through the implementation of the Blended Activities Learning Model (BALM). BALM is CIGH’s approach of literacy, targeted at building the foundational literacy needs of participants at the lower level. This is achieved through capacity building of volunteer teachers to deliver the curriculum at the various project centers. CIGH provides the necessary teaching and learning resources and monitors the progress of the intervention. It is currently being implemented by 181 frontline church partners. We also provide support funding for formal education from primary to the tertiary level for our participants.
